Questions people actually ask.
Do I need an API key?
No. The free cloud engine runs keyless — install, type, generate. Keys only unlock extra pro models (Google Veo and Imagen, OpenAI, OpenRouter), and they're stored encrypted on your PC.
Is it really unlimited?
On your own GPU, yes — it's your hardware, so there's nothing counting your renders. The free cloud engine is subject to the provider's fair use. Bring your own key and you're on that provider's quota, with no EasyGen markup on top.
What does my machine need?
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. The cloud engine runs on any PC with internet. For local generation an NVIDIA card is recommended — 8 GB of VRAM covers most image models and the lighter video models, and more VRAM opens up the heavy families. The Local page tells you what your rig can run before you install a thing.
Does it work offline?
Local models do — that's the point of them. The voice engine downloads about 90 MB once, then speaks with the plug pulled. The built-in helper answers setup questions offline too, and gets a real brain if you install a local model.
